Wyoming State House Representative Landon Brown has been "serving" House District 9 for eight years. During this time, Representative Brown has taken questionable stances, votes, and actions that negatively reflect on the hard working voters in House District 9.
After President Biden was calling for Vaccine Mandates across the United States, Wyoming Citizens expressed concerns to their representatives and called for a special session. Representative Brown voted against this special session, but thankfully the majority of those in the legislature did not follow his lead.
The end result was not as pleasant. Many representatives, like Landon voted against most of the bills that were designed to protect Wyoming Citizen Rights.
During a 2021 Special Legislative Session regarding vaccine mandates, Representative Landon Brown voted against a bill to stop employers from forcing vaccines on their employees. He said:
Simply put, he approves of businesses forcing their employees to take experimental drugs.

During the 2021 Special Session on October 29, 2021, Representative Landon Brown felt it necessary to dress up in his Halloween Party Costume on the Wyoming House Floor.
This also happens to be the day that he voted against a bill that would have stopped employers from mandating Covid-19 Vaccines on their employees.

In September of 2020, Representative Landon Brown was receiving thousands of emails from residents calling for a Special Session to stop COVID-19 mandates. His response to the concerned Wyoming voters: He accused them of not carrying for the health and safety of others.

Yesterday, Wyoming State House Representative Landon Brown released a video in response to Wyoming House District 9 Candidate Exie Brown’s recent campaign mailer. Landon Brown’s response involved many half truths and redirection in an attempt to not be held in account for his voting record.
However, one of the more egregious actions was that Representative Landon Brown claimed that a bill he voted against, doesn’t exist.
Video available here: https://vimeo.com/997389737/c3f6baf7b8
In the video when discussing the mailer, Representative Landon Brown said, “The last one is voting against protecting citizens from employer vaccine mandates. And if you look really close on this guy (the mailer) this is the interesting part here, it actually says House Bill 1001. Well, there was no House Bill 1001.”
Unfortunately for Wyoming State House Representative Landon Brown, House Bill 1001 does exist and he voted against it in the 2021 Special Session. You can find the bill and his vote here on the Wyoming State Legislature Website:

Perhaps Representative Landon Brown forgot about the Special Session since he voted against holding the session and was more focused on wearing his Gomez Addams Halloween Costume on the House Floor on October 29, 2021.
“I’m very concerned that we have a sitting state house representative spreading misinformation regarding a bill that he voted against,” said House District 9 Candidate Exie Brown. “He needs to correct this misinformation and apologize to his constituents. These types of actions, intentionally or not, are exactly why Wyoming citizens have a hard time trusting those elected into office,” added Exie.
“However, regardless of Landon’s attempt at rewriting history, our current representative seems to think that employees have no civil rights while they work for an employer. This is very concerning and further confirms that he is not fit to represent Wyoming citizens, not just in House District 9, but anywhere across the state.”
“Recently, Governor Mark Gordon’s Prosperity and Commerce Political Action Committee released a new website called ‘Trust but Verify’. Additionally, they endorsed my opponent. I wonder if the Governor and the PAC will be “verifying” and calling out Representative Landon Brown’s blatant misinformation to the voters,” said Exie.
In an interview with the National Public Radio, Wyoming State House Representative Landon Brown called for the State of Wyoming to take in thousands of Afghan Refugees.
"You know, one of the sayings that we use as a mantra here in Wyoming is, Wyoming is what America was, and that's very much this Wild West, very openness and live-and-let-live mantra that goes on. But unfortunately, the world is changing around us, and we're stuck in the, you know, the - Wyoming doesn't want to really move along. And so that starts the problem of us being scared and being afraid of what might come in, so that's why I'm so supportive of this. And I think it's a very important piece for Wyoming to grow as a state - is to welcome these refugees in and have different viewpoints and different ideologies moving in as opposed to an echo chamber that we currently are."
You can read and listen to the interview here:
In a February 12, 2022 CNN Interview with Phil Mattingly, to tout his unwavering support for failed Former U.S House Representative Liz Cheney, Landon Brown attacked the Republican Party and said they were run by a "fringe group" and "far right conservatives".
Additionally in this interview, Landon Brown said he agreed with Cheney that some state GOP leaders have “abandoned the Constitution.”
"You're not just a Republican in Wyoming backing Congresswoman Cheney, you've been vocal about it as well," said host Mattingly "You're not shying away from it in any way. The state Republican party has gone after the congresswoman to which she responded in a New York Times interview that the state party leaders have 'abandoned the Constitution.' Do you think that the Wyoming GOP state leaders have abandoned the Constitution?"
"Yeah," said Brown. "You know, I think what's happened here at this point is we've seen a fringe group that is on the far right of our party has taken over our party and they are the ones that are pushing this narrative and, you know, they've been working behind the scenes to come out and come against Liz Cheney since day one with her support of this January 6th panel."
Brown also said in the interview that he was going to do what ever it takes to make sure Trump never wins the Presidency again.
"You know, at the end of the day, President Trump has a maximum of four years more in office and I stand with Liz Cheney that I will do everything in my power to make sure that's not happening [again] as well," he continued. "At the end of the day, what he did and the way he handled himself on January 6th it is clear to everybody that he is unfit for office."
I wonder if he still stands by these statements.

In our recent debate held in Cheyenne, Landon Brown gladly accepted the term "Progressive Left of the Republican Party".
Landon Brown then remarked that he had heard the term “progressive left of the Republican Party” about six times throughout the evening. In fact, “progressive left" was only uttered twice, once in the context of the Republican Party.
"I guess if that’s where I land, that’s where I land,” Landon Brown said. “One thing about me is you know where I stand on every single thing that I have done.”
I know exactly where Landon Brown stands on the issues and I am going to make sure that all of the District 9 voters do also.
In the 2022 Wyoming Legislative Session, Wyoming State House Representative Landon Brown voted against the Fairness in Women's Sports Act.
This bill would have prohibited biological males from athletic teams and sports designated for females in public schools.
The bill failed introduction 21-37 in the House.

In 2023, a similar bill was brought forth:
Senate File 133 - Student Eligibility in interscholastic sports.
This bill prohibited students of the male sex from competing on a team designated for students of the female sex.
Landon Brown voted against the bill in the Education Committee. Thankfully he and his progressive left of the Republican Party lost 5-4.
Landon Brown also voted against an amendment that expanded the protection to 7th and 8th graders. Once again, Landon and his progressive left of the Republican Party lost 42-19-1.
Only after all of his "Nay" votes did he finally support and vote for the final 2023 bill.
