As we have seen over the last few years property taxes have increased significantly. This has placed a huge burden on all of our citizens, especially our senior citizens on a fixed income as well as our lower and middle class. Last year in 2023, the legislature did pass some bills that did provide some help to our citizens; however, I feel there is more that can be done to help our hard-working Wyoming citizens for property tax relief. In this disastrous Biden economy, we in the State need to do everything we can to ease the economic burden for all Wyomingites.
As a parent myself, I firmly believe it is not only a responsibility but a right that parents can choose where and how their kids are educated. I feel we need to shift our focus to investing in our students , our children, instead of institutions. Steps have been taken to fund some through who choose to send their child to a private or charter school via student vouchers but there is more that we can do to give all children and families that opportunity.
As many know, when it comes to a spending bill there is "pork" that gets added to a bill. As a state, we need to take a hard look at where our hard-earned taxpayer dollars are being spent. Special interests and programs that do not directly impact the lives of our citizens need to have funding reduced or eliminated.
The objective of tax legislation ought to be to collect just the necessary funds to support the lawful operations of the state, while minimizing its impact on the economy and adhering to the principle of treating individuals who pay taxes fairly.
Our elected officials need to recognize that tax dollars do not belong to the state. Instead, they belong to the hard working Wyoming Citizens.
In these hard unprecedented economic times, we need to be fiscally responsible to ensure taxpayer dollars are utilized in the best interest of our citizens.

shall not be infringed."
The 2nd Amendment was not created because the "deer are coming". Too many politicians and government bureaucrats believe the 2nd Amendment exists only for hunting. This is simply not true.
I believe that all legal citizens have the right to defend their life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. No government should be taking these rights through force or law.
